Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management (REIM) announces that it has appointed Benoit de la Boulaye as CIO Europe, effective July 3, 2024.

Geneva and London, July 3rd 2024: Based in London and reporting to Edmond de Rothschild's REIM Co-CEO Pierre Jacquot, Benoit de la Boulaye will contribute to the definition of the business’ strategy, and will oversee implementation of existing and new investment funds, mandates and ventures for the real estate investment platform at a pan European level. He joins Edmond de Rothschild’s REIM executive committee. In that capacity, he will work hand in hand with Head of Product & Business Development Bert-Jan Scheffer, Head of Fund Management Theo Soeters, as well as local country Heads in continental Europe and the UK to support further growth of the business. He will also interact closely with the wider Edmond de Rothschild Group to enhance its position in the private markets space.

In his role as CIO Europe for Edmond de Rothschild REIM, Benoit will also be a key representative for the business within the wider real estate industry with a focus on both defining the platform’s investment house view supported by specialists from across the business as well as maintaining key relationships with relevant partners to support fund raising. Internally, he will become Chair of the Investment Committees and oversee the European deal flow.

Benoit de la Boulaye brings leadership experience managing real estate businesses for a leading financial institution and has been active in the industry for nearly two decades. In his most recent role, Benoit served as Global CIO for BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management (BNPP REIM) as well as CEO of BNPP REIM UK. He first joined BNPP REIM in 2011 holding a number of fund management roles in France before joining the London office in 2019. Prior to this, Benoit worked for The Boston Consulting Group in Paris, and started his career in the finance and strategy department at the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations. He holds a degree in business with a major in finance from Paris Dauphine University and a master’s degree in management from French business school ESCP-EAP.
