Through the ongoing efforts of its local teams, Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate Investment Management (“REIM”) displays consistent improvement in the results of the annual Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (“GRESB”). Our UK Affordable Housing strategy scored the maximum of 5 stars and is recognized by GRESB as the global #1 most sustainable affordable housing fund. Also our Benelux Office strategy and our UK Residential Build-to-Rent strategies are awarded 5 stars, indicating that they too belong to the most sustainable funds in the industry.

In the recently released 2024 survey results, our different strategies achieved the following results:

 - The Swiss Residential strategy participated for the first year and scored 86 points | 4 stars
 - The European Industrial strategy scored 87 points | 4 stars and is in the top-15% most sustainable industrial funds in Europe
 - The UK Residential Build-to-Rent strategy increased its score to 89 points | 5 stars, #2 most sustainable Residential Multi-Family fund in the UK
 - The UK Affordable Housing strategy increased its score to 91 points | 5 stars, #1 most sustainable Affordable Housing fund (Residential / Social) in GRESB
 - And the Benelux Office strategy increased its score to 94 points | 5 stars, #6 most sustainable office fund in Europe.

The achieved positions in the top of the industry groups are the result of the dedication of our local fund and asset management teams, through strong data collection, a significant decrease in energy usage and carbon emissions, a strong increase in building certification and involving the tenants and community. Aside from our efforts in the annual GRESB survey, the teams are actively working to decarbonise the properties under our management following the Carbon Risk Real Estate Management (“CRREM”) framework and Edmond de Rothschild is a signatory of the Net Zero Asset Managers (“NZAM”) since May 2023.

Martijn Vlasveld, head of ESG at Edmond de Rothschild REIM, commented: “These strong scores reflect the ambition of Edmond de Rothschild to be among the top in the industry, in terms of both performance and sustainability. We pride ourselves on being an engaged and goal-oriented sustainable investor.”
