Founded in 2003, Banimmo France developed its expertise in France's city-centre retail market, with notable projects such as transforming the Marché Saint-Germain and the Halles Secrétan shopping areas in Paris. More recently, it was awarded the invitation to tender to renovate the Gare du Sud train station in Nice and was chosen to design the “Food Square” in La Défense, Paris’ business district. Banimo France is also currently revamping the Verpantin shopping centre in Pantin, building a new city-centre retail area in Montpellier and marketing a shopping complex in Anglet.
With the help of Edmond de Rothschild Corporate Finance, the sale of Banimmo France is perfectly in line with Banimmo's new strategy as it aims to redevelop its original business line, the office building sector, in Belgium. With a new shareholder, Banimmo France can continue its growth and strengthen its position as a leading player in transforming city-centre shopping areas.
A top investor in French midmarket service companies, Montefiore Investment has made many long-term investments in specialised real estate companies with high added value. The investment company is therefore the ideal partner for Banimmo France, which will become Urban Renaissance as a nod to its key strategy of transforming city-centre retail assets.
The current team will remain in place under chairman Olivier Durand and will have increased means to develop new projects.
